Hand-Painted Silk Scarves

The scarves are 100% silk, 6 x 51", hand-hemmed, and created with love ... and patience. 

 

Trying something new delights me, even though it seems surprises are in every brush stroke. I'm discovering painting with inks on silk is like watercolor, the paint flows where it wants, dries in variation, and colors can separate. I've decided each scarf has a mind of its own, and I'm just the applicator going down this delightful journey with a new partner.

 

Although beautiful, accept these scarves with their little idiosyncrasies. It's what makes them special. It's what I appreciate about hand-made. I hope you do, too.
