"It's a dry beach day."
That's what my young grandson announced when Lake Michigan was too cold for swimming.
Instead of heading home, we filled buckets, built sandcastles, and discovered that some of the best beach days happen without ever getting in the water. Because sometimes the best summer memories happen between the splashes.
