'Lake Michigan Never Stands Still' 11h x 14w

This small original oil painting was inspired by a breezy day along Lake Michigan, when the wind stirred the water and changed its color from one moment to the next. The endless variety of blues and greens thrilled me right down to my sand-covered toes.
No matter how many canvases I painted, I could never capture every mood dancing across the water. The seagulls seemed to understand, gliding overhead as if they, too, were taking it all in.
A peaceful reminder that beauty is often found in the moments that refuse to stand still.
