Let me tell you where this painting bloomed—from the heart of Holland, Michigan, where every spring the sidewalks burst into color and the air smells sweet with tulips.
 
We host the third-largest tulip festival in the world here (yes, really!), and —the it never gets old. Each year, those tulip beds feel like a fresh start.
 
This piece, Tulip Reverie, is my love letter to that fleeting magic.
 
I used a palette knife to layer in soft peach, buttery yellow, and fresh green tulips, letting the paint dance thick and textured against a slighty smoky gray background. The contrast is a little unexpected, but that’s what I love most—it’s soft and bold at the same time. Just like us, right?
 
I wanted this painting to feel like that first warm breeze after a long winter. That moment you exhale and think, yes, I'm ready for something new.
