The first time I went sailing, I hated it.
No wind.
No speed.
Just drifting.
I couldn't understand why anyone enjoyed moving so slowly.
It was nothing like the thrill of our 15-foot ski boat that sped us around the lake as a kid.
Years later, I've changed my mind.
Now I appreciate the breeze kissing my cheek.
The spray cooling my skin.
The quiet rhythm of moving with the wind instead of racing against it.
And in the studio, I've come to love that pace too.
