Birch trees have long been my way of painting resilience — beauty shaped by time, weather, and light.
Where Light Lingers captures a moment of stillness, when soft color and reflection settle gently across the water. Painted with a palette knife and layered oil paint, the textured strokes allow light to catch and shift as the viewer moves, revealing quiet variations of blue, green, and cream.
 
The birch stands steady yet imperfect, its surroundings softened by reflection and atmosphere. I’m drawn to these in-between moments — when nothing demands attention, yet everything feels present.
